Binge Watching- The New Trend

Binge watching our favorite series has become a new trend now. There are times when we get bored and when we have absolutely nothing to do we look for a means to avoid that boredom. We often sit in front of our televisions or computers and think that watching an episode of our favorite show might help.

Of course, it helps.

But sometimes the series gets so exciting that we cannot think about anything else but what might have happened in the next episode. Out of curiosity, we keep watching it and we often finish watching the entire series in one night.

But some shows grab the attention of the audience the most. Here are some of the shows that are binged watched the most.

1. Game of Thrones

One of the most binge-watched TV series is Game of Thrones. This is an American fantasy drama series set in 287 AC based on the series of novels by George R. R. Martin, first of which is named ‘Game of Thrones’. The story revolves around seven fictional kingdoms of Westeros, nine houses; all fighting for one iron throne and an army of old enemies called the White Walkers. It has seven seasons and the eighth season is yet to be released in 2019.

2. Stranger Things

This is another most popular American web television series. Stranger Things is a science fiction, horror series directed by Duffer Brothers. The story is set in a fictional town Hawkins, Indiana and focuses on criminal activities going on in the town and how a few kids get into the roots of it and help in handling the consequences. It has two seasons with the third one is yet to be released.

3. The Big Bang Theory

The Big Bang Theory is another popular series that caught a lot of attention for binge watching. This is an American sitcom television series with twelve seasons. The story is about friends who are basically nerds; physicist, aerospace engineer, astrophysicist, and a neuroscientist staying in Pasadena, California. This is basically a comedy series with a touch of science in it.

4. Friends

Another most attention-grabbing and binge-watched sitcom television series is Friends. This is an American television sitcom with eight seasons. The story is about six friends; Rachel, Monica, Joey, Chandler, Phoebe and Ross who are in their 20s and 30s living in Manhattan, New York.

5. How I Met Your Mother

Another popular and most binged watched television series is How I Met Your mother. This an American sitcom web television series with nine seasons. The story is about the lead character Ted Mosby and a group of his friends, staying in Manhattan, New York, his son, daughter and a series of incidents that led him to their mother.

6. Black Mirror

Black Mirror is another most popular web television show with four seasons. This show is highly recommended for binge watching. This is a British anthology science fiction series that shows how new technology might affect our modern society. The story shows how technologies can turn into a bane if not handled properly. It focuses mainly on the consequences of new technologies and what our near future may look like because of it.
